Malaysia is the world’s second-largest producer of palm oil after Indonesia. The palm oil industry isessential to the Malaysian economy, and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), a government agency, isresponsible for its promotion and development. The country’s palm oil industry produces about 90 milliontons of lignocellulosic biomass, including empty fruit bunches, oil palm trunks, and oil palm fronds, as wellas palm oil mill effluent (POME).

Candidates are given a comprehensive video briefing on the nature of the job, work site conditions,and any potentialhardships they may face while on the job. After the briefing, the workers are taken forphysical tests, and selection criteria involve three areas of interest.
